The Component Engineer will provide assistance to Design Engineers in the selection of parts to best fit program requirements. This Engineer will support both current production and New Product Introduction (NPI) projects.
Essential Responsibilities	Participate in product design reviews for component selection and standardization Collaborate across Engineering and business disciplines to meet aggressive cost and schedule goals Assist in qualifying new components and vendors for usage in development or sustaining Assist in performing value engineering efforts to support purchasing Perform obsolescence reviews Create a parts database Check library schematics symbols and footprints Review bills of materials prior to ordering parts
Qualifications/Requirements	Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college Minimum 3 years of Engineering experience in a Component Engineering role
