Job description |
IBM Global Business Services (GBS) has established a Smarter
Commerce Center of Competence in its Strategy & Transformation
(S&T) Service Line. The primary objective of this group is to
provide Sales, Solutions, and Delivery Excellence support to S&T
teams in North America, Europe and Growth Markets.
The Practice
is currently seeking an experienced Associate Partner with a proven
ability to lead strategic business development activities for the
Marketing & Customer Engagement Service Area. The AP will assist in
the development of go-to-market strategies, solution development,
opportunity identification, and the sales and delivery of complex
Marketing & Customer Engagements. A successful candidate will have
the ability to work across multiple industries with significant
experience working with clients to develop a marketing vision and
blueprint that aligns with the company strategy.
This Associate Partner position involves:
Working directly with top tier Chief Marketing Officers (CMO) and
Chief Executive Officers (CEO) to provide business model innovation.
Understanding cross-channel marketing requirements for large,
multi-channel enterprises, as being influenced from within and outside a
company's current industry segment.
Strong familiarity with digital marketing capabilities and technologies, especially in the digital, social and mobile arenas.
Comfort with concepts in the areas of data analytics, and both traditional and digital marketing metrics and campaigns.
Envisioning the art of the possible via data and social marketing across a variety of industries.
Discussing and managing the implementation process of building
transformative digital marketing operations within incumbent business
units, including integration with traditional marketing, governance and
decision rights, etc.
Familiarity with organizational issues that arise as customers become cross-channel and cross LOB.
Conceptualizing and discussing the pros and cons of centralized vs
decentralized approaches in the areas of data usage, customer
information, marketing campaigns, etc.
Understanding of the main business issues facing CMOs and CSOs today.
The
position requires significant expertise in strategy design, smarter
commerce, marketing and industry knowledge. A successful candidate will
have significant hands-on leadership of large teams and experience with
B2B and B2C business transformation projects. Qualified candidates
will have:
Deep Customer and Product Marketing skills to create a compelling and differentiated approach to our clients.
Skills and expertise in the technology of today and ability to successfully execute those skills on a daily basis.
Sales and Proposal Management skills including leading the proposal
teams through the development of project scope, vision, objectives and
approach to solution the client’s issue.
Strong Project Management skills and experience managing large projects with multiple workstreams.
Demonstrated track record of successful business development, profitable project delivery and quality review.
Successful hands on full life cycle project experience.
Proven sales track record and demonstrated proficiency in developing channel and client relationships.
Previous industry experience in the Customer Management and Digital Marketing fields.
Excellent client interaction and relationship building skills with ability to work both middle and executive management.
Excellent oral and written communication and organization and teaming skills.
This role requires the ability to accommodate extensive global travel (60-70% or more) (2252)

Required
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 3 years experience in developing executive level

- At least 3 years experience in Digital Marketing capabilities and technologies, including digital, social and/or mobile arenas.
- At least 3 years experience in interacting with C-level
executives; including the ability to act as the client's trusted
Business Advisor.
- At least 5 years experience in cross-channel marketing for large, multi-channel enterprises.
- At least 3 years experience in building transformative Digital
Marketing operations within incumbent business units, including
integration with traditional marketing, governance and decision rights.
- Readiness to travel Up to 4 days a week (home on weekends-based on project requirements)
- English: Basic knowledge
