market Boutique Investment bank - multiple locations - New York, San Francisco
The client is a leading boutique investment bank, founded by ex bulge bracket bankers and an impressive track record in operating in the upper mid market (companies having 500 million – 1 billion in revenues per year). They are seeking to add senior M&A partners to their investment banking arm to further develop the advisory practise. As a director / managing director, your primary role will be to originate and execute M&A mandates within one of the given sector (industrials , consumer , retail, business services, healthcare services). The client operates on an entrepreneurial platform, offering partnerships for senior management and very attractive payout schemes. The firm works closely with their principal investing arm , and allows for senior partners to potentially work on originating private equity placements and gain a carried interest in the PE deals. This position requires well established senior directors who are seeking to gain a real financial interest in their deals and are able to work well independently.
The firm is a generalist investor working across all the major industry areas, e.g. Healthcare/Pharma, TMT, Business Services, Consumer, Infrastructure, (to name a few) and each senior banker is highly specialised within their own industry field, working with some of the most prestigous clients within the US mid market .
Your Background:
- Several years of director level experience working within investment banking , M&A, Corporate finance advisory in the US markets
- Proven track record in deal sourcing and deal execution within one of the company’s main key sectors: industrials , consumer , retail, business services, healthcare services
- Strong academic background from a leading educational institution, with a relevant Masters / MBA
- Entrepreneurial and ability to start on the ground independently , as well as being able to work well with more junior teams members
