Job summary
 
As Learning & Development Supervising Associate, you'll analyze and gather data and information for assigned projects/processes. You'll use this material to assess needs, and develop the business case for change. You'll independently develop and manage work plans for moderately complex initiatives, to address needs. You'll also develop specific deliverables (such as job aids, workshops, learning modules, and technologies) for assigned projects. In addition, you'll make recommendations for assigned processes and programs.
 
You'll build specialized knowledge and application of internal and external leading practices, and develop a network of contacts. You'll also consult with and advise Americas People Team (APT) associates, employees and leaders on program goals. You may provide facilitation and other consulting services to a geographic Area or service line. Finally, you'll report to leaders on the quality and effectiveness of programs and services. 
 
In this role, you'll receive general supervision, often working on projects which require only periodic updates to your supervisor. Your decision-making authority is subject to the review and agreement of your manager.
 
Responsibilities
  • Raise development and learning needs, making recommendations to address any gaps
  • Help design and develop programs/processes, by building on past practices, consulting input and experience
  • Help analyze the effectiveness of programs/processes, by providing input to, and evaluating feedback from, surveys, interviews and metrics
  • Analyze programs to confirm they align to organizational strategy and goals 
  • Provide coaching in your area of work, including counselor support/training, performance management, feedback, on-boarding, mentoring, and team effectiveness
  • Recommend adjustments to programs/processes
  • Keep up-to-date with research on learning design and/or firm development and effectiveness. Make recommendations based on this research
  • Use a consultative approach to identify and address business needs
  • Develop strong knowledge of theory and practice in your area of focus, such as feedback, on-boarding, executive development and counseling
  • Exercise judgment in non-routine situations
  • May supervise junior staff

  • Excellent project management skills
  • Very good attention to detail
  • Strong conceptual ability
  • Proven coaching, consulting and facilitation skills
  • Proficient at driving change 
  • Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Good knowledge of performance management, measurement, feedback, coaching, change management and leadership development
  
Experience
  • A minimum of 5-7 years related experience
 
Education
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
