William Blair is recruiting for a Product Specialist on our Domestic Investment Management team.

Responsibilities

• Assists Product Specialist and portfolio managers with analytical analysis of client portfolios; assist in directed research projects resulting in written reports, white papers and marketing support pieces.  At the direction of the Product Specialist assist Client Relationship Managers and Sales in review meetings and searches.
• Participates in investment strategy meetings with portfolio managers and assist in portfolio construction research and development of new products.  At the direction of the Product Specialist, assist in consultant studies and presentation of products.
• Coordinate projects with the Quant Group, Performance Team and such other Operational areas as directed by the Product Specialist.
• Participate in other projects as requested by management

Qualifications

• More than 5 years of direct participation in investment management with a top tier investment management or consulting firm.
• Progress towards a CFA required.
• Series 7 and 63 required
• Work towards an MBA desirable.
• Strong commitment to participating in investment decision making
• Exceptional analytical skills with proven ability to contribute to investment idea generation.
• Proficient in Excel, Bloomberg, Factset and other investment industry standard data sources.
• Accustomed to working in a fast-paced, team oriented environment.
• Utilizes independent thought and judgment.
