Description
Java Architect
The job holder will be tasked with identifying implementation patterns that support automated infrastructure changes, designing inter and intra system interfaces, developing as well as supporting automation solutions. Job holder will be creating our next generation of infrastructure. If you have a passion for problem-solving, a keen eye for opportunity, and a drive for realizing change, this is a great opportunity for you.
Qualifications
- Work experience in translating design mockups and prototypes into working application designs
- Strong knowledge and work experience in building large-scale applications (Java and Linux preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of software development experience (including supporting developed systems)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in architecting distributed, scalable, highly-available systems
- Experience using version control (Subversion preferred)
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Perl, Python, or Unix shell scripting
- Strong knowledge of Algorithms and Data Structures
- Experience in engineering web services (designing/developing and consuming)
- Good working knowledge of Network Protocols
- Familiarity in troubleshooting Distributed Systems
Job holder must be adept at technical teams, self-motivated and possess ability to build strategic relationships and influence people at all levels of the organization. Job holder must have excellent communications skills and strong customer focus. S/he is able to work with infrastructure and business partners to understand their needs and issues as well as drive solutions. B.S. or B.A. or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree or certification beneficial
