Candidate will support and assist Client Operations and other Shared Service teams/COE's by monitoring and processing corporate (exchanges, merger, tenders etc.) and income events to the accounting records accurately and timely.  Candidate will ensure prompt follow up on exception situations and facilitate timely problem resolution to mitigate risk to the corporation along with delivering excellent service to clients.
Overall Responsibilities
  • Reviews and validates all daily activity in an accurate and timely manner, and maintains all required controls to ensure overall accuracy
  • Calculates and processes fund activities
  • Works in conjunction with individuals on the team as well as other shared services/COEs, India and Client Operations to ensure seamless processing according to the fund's policies
  • Supports the production of fund Net Asset Values
  • Supports the research and resolution process for exceptions and inquiries
  • Provides information needed to prepare financial statements and reports for client, shareholder, director and management reports, in an accurate and timely manner
  • Prepares proofs as needed
  • Reviews corporate actions
  • Remains familiar with back-up procedures when system applications and/or transmission problems arise
  • Maintains records in support of audits
  • May perform other duties as requested
  • Corporate Actions Specific Responsibilities
  • Undertake routine tasks related to the monitoring and processing of voluntary and mandatory corporate events or income events
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing to accounting records
  • Work in conjunction with individuals on the team, other shared services/COEs to ensure seamless processing accounting to fund's policies
  • Support research and resolution process for exceptions and inquiries related to corporate action events or income events
  • Maintain records in support of audits
Income Specific Responsibilities
  • Process daily fund distributions
  • Populate income components of SEC yields, as necessary
  • Post income adjustments according to fund policies
  • Bachelor's degree with business related coursework preferred.  B.S. degree in Accounting or Finance preferred 
  • 0-1 years of experience in accounting, finance, mutual fund operations, and loan servicing or related careers (preferred).
  • Strong computer competence (Microsoft applications {Excel, Word etc.},
  • Aptitude for math
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Oral communication skills
  • Multitasking capability
  • Ability to work under pressure/deadlines driven environment
