Top Global Macro Hedge fund seeking a junior accountant to join its team here in Connecticut.

An elite global macro fund is seeking a junior accountant to join its team here in Connecticut. The successful candidate will report directly into the head of financial reporting and have exposure to multiple groups/functions within the fund (CFO, risk, middle office, portfolio management, senior management etc).

Primary Responsibilities:

-Preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules
-Allocation of P&L in Master/Feeder Structure
-Calculation of NAV and managment/incentive fees
-Regulatory filings including 10Q, 10K, Form PF, Form PR
-Assist in the preparation of monthly track records for master trading vehicles, feeder funds, separately managed accounts, and trading program composites

Minimum Requirements:

-1 to 3 years of public accounting experience auditing hedge funds, asset managers or other alternative investments
-Strong understanding of financial products including derivatives
-CPA preferred
-Extensive experience with master feeder structures and related accounting
-Understanding of financial accounting standards (FAS157, ASC 820, ASC 815)
