Further information about "working at Moody's" is available at our Careers Page at www.moodys.com As a Financial Data Specialist, you will serve as a subject matter expert, interpreting complex business rules, managing projects in support of business initiatives, technology systems development and data product advancement.   * Manages data centric processes. * Serves as a subject matter expert for your assigned function(s) within the LOB and/or cross-LOB while ensuring proper process documentation and adequate training by conducting periodic training and process reviews. * Timely alerts to senior management of issues that might impact successful execution of responsibilities. * Demonstrates the ability to extract and associate data from various sources for review and audit * Maintain the highest level of customer service, supporting internal and external clients. * Lead meetings with external clients to discuss completed projects, work in progress and other pending items * Demonstrates ability to step outside of core responsibilities for either one-off or longer term strategic projects * Demonstrate and apply strong project management skills, and use current technology and tools to enhance the effectiveness of deliverables and services. * Oversee and coordinate projects, identify project risks, planning, organizing and managing the deliverables across the project lifecycle, with "hands on" responsibilities as necessary. Summarize and report project progress to Manager/Senior Manager * Where appropriate, develop and prepare presentations * Develop reporting to provide adequate transparency around specified and/or designated initiative Minimum Requirements:     * Undergraduate/first-level degree (E.g. Bachelor's degree) ideally within the Financial discipline * 4-6 years of relevant work experience. * Clear written and verbal communication skills with an ability to communicate complex business concepts to a senior audience. * Highly organized and efficient * Demonstrates strong consensus building skills and critical thinking skills * Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.) * A strong client focused orientation with the drive and enthusiasm required to achieve results and assume customer satisfaction. * Places interest of the team above individual self-interest. The Global Middle Office (GMO) provides transaction management support, workflow coordination, rating desk services and other broad operational support to Moody's Investors Service Rating teams.   The department works closely with the lines of business to improve both business process and data quality across the rating lifecycle.   The GMO has over 100 employees in 5 countries and is a key player in business process development, new company wide initiatives and technology projects. MIS and MSS Candidates are asked to disclose securities holdings pursuant to Moody's Policy for Securities Trading.
