Description

Provides professional relationship management support to an assigned group of investment managers or clients by ensuring the completion of all transaction processing, as well as ensuring the daily customer service needs are met. Transactions processing includes; global and domestic trades, derivatives, foreign exchanges, currency movements, wire transfers, client cash. The incumbent will have responsibility for the execution of standing instructions as directed by investment managers or clients, the investing/divesting of cash balances, monitoring overdrafts and idle U.S. and non-U.S. balances and fail resolution. The incumbent will be the main point of contact for the investment managers and clients assigned to their team and is responsible for ensuring resolution of all issues. S/He will as liaison for other areas such as corporate actions, income collections and settlements by responding to inquiries received via telephone, email, inter-departmental tracking, or spreadsheet.. Incumbent will coordinate the workflow of assigned investment managers and clients to Trade and Senior Trade Specialists keeping in mind trading volumes, complexity, sensitivity, and risk associated with each type of transaction. S/He will also coordinate other activities for their team, including the impact of new business, conversion activity, advisor and client automation or other projects. Incumbent will approve, upon close review, foreign exchange transactions and outgoing wires within set limits. The incumbent will ensure completion of daily critical controls for their relationships ensuring compliance with internal procedures and minimize exposure. Training and development of Trade and Sr. Trade Specialists on specific job duties will be a critical responsibility of the incumbent.

Qualifications

Bachelors Degree with a concentration in Business or Finance or equivalent work experience. Incumbent must have a thorough knowledge of the securities investment industry, it's players, foreign exchange markets, and settlement practices in both domestic and foreign markets. Customer service and problem solving skills required along with excellent communication skills. Due to the utilization of a Windows based Imaging System in the work environment, the individual will be required to demonstrate his/her proficiency in the use of Personal Computers with a Windows based operating system. Possess strong analytical skills, an aptitude for details, and the ability to direct others to meet strict deadlines. Familiarity with spreadsheet manipulation, word processing software, and on-line systems utilized in the Section. Minimum of two years experience as a Senior Trade Specialist is typically required.
