Job Summary
The Interactive Media Group at Apple is looking for a highly motivated dev-ops engineer.
Key Qualifications
- Passion for working with and creating innovative tools for deployments and management of large scale systems
- Extensive background in Linux/Unix administration (Ubuntu, OEL, RHEL)
- Experience designing, building, and maintaining large scale deployments
- Network Administration
- Exposure to networking & load balancing solutions
- Good working knowledge of various server hardware
- Working knowledge of NFS and NAS appliances
- Monitoring (splunk/nagios/equiv.)
- Performance tuning and capacity planning
- Ops OnCall support is a requirement
- Strong scripting skills, preferably with Bash, Ruby and Python
- Knowledge of automation and configuration management tools such as Puppet, Chef, CFEngine
- Exposure to revision control systems with branching and tagging (SVN,Git)
- Excellent trouble shooting
- Excellent documentation habits
- Good working knowledge of big data technlogies like Hadoop, Hive, HBase, Zookeeper, Cassandra
- Good working knowledge of deploying large scale applications running on the JVM

will be a critical part of an engineering team focused on reporting
applications for CoreMedia, FaceTime, GameCenter and their underlying
networking architecture. You must enjoy the excitement of rapid
development, tight deadlines, and interacting with other high energy
teams. You’ll be asked to create and implement solutions to help collect
and analyze various data sets for troubleshooting and improving how our
software behaves in real-world situations.
Education
BA/BS in computer science, or equivalent work history
