Job Summary

The role of the ALAC (Apple Latin America & Caribbean) Marketing Communications group at Apple is to ensure communications can be continuously and seamlessly deployed as a key part of Apple’s business success.

Key Qualifications

  • This position requires a self-motivated, flexible individual with very strong communication skills. The candidate must be a strong strategic thinker, capable of seeing the bigger picture and orchestrating projects to that end. This role requires the individual to constantly challenge the status quo and seek new and better ways of communicating both internally and externally. Experience of working on new product launch campaigns will be an advantage.
  • The ideal candidate must have prior marketing communications experience in a global or pan-Latin American capacity and have, within this, demonstrated extensive experience in creative development and localization processes.
  • The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills, strong influencing and cross-functional leadership abilities and possess a high level of attention to detail.
  • The ideal candidate for this role will have extensive experience within consumer (preferably consumer electronics) product categories, along with a clear understanding of the challenges of retailing across Latin America.
  • The ideal candidate will be fluent in English, Spanish and/or Portuguese.

Description

The ALAC MarCom team is seeking an exceptional individual who can manage successfully in this fast-paced environment. The position requires a mix of project management, relationship-building, creative process, and executional skills. The role will be responsible for synchronizing various MarCom disciplines in support of Apple’s product launch and sustaining communications for all of Apple’s key product families as well as some key Seasonal communications. The role will require close collaboration across a variety of functions including Web, Direct Mail, Channel, and Advertising. The person will need to be fluent in a variety of media including print, digital and motion graphics and should be highly experienced in launch, promotional and sustaining programs. The role will interact with key contacts at Apple HQ in Cupertino, CA (Cross-functional Producers, Functional leads, Planners & Producers, etc.) and will need to build key relationships in ALAC HQ in Miami (Sales, Functional MarCom Leads, etc) as well as with the local teams based throughout Latin America – including, iTunes and the Apple Online Store. The specific responsibilities to be assumed by this role will include: Product Launch and Sustaining Programs - Work closely with the WW MarCom teams to establish ALAC MarCom goals and strategies for launch and sustaining efforts in local markets. - Be the ALAC cross-functional fulcrum for all workshops, liaising with WW MarCom teams as well as ALAC MarCom, PR & Product Marketing teams. - Work with the planning team in Cupertino and ALAC agencies to deliver local market feedback and insights as part of an ongoing program, ultimately driving more relevant, impactful communications for ALAC. - Work with local agency production partners to ensure that all deliverables are fully integrated and flawlessly executed, meeting Apple’s extremely high quality standards. - Provide a single point of contact for launch from an overall process, communications and materials perspective, representing ALAC needs with WW MarCom counterparts. Seasonal /Promotional Programs - Work with WW Cross-Function and ALAC Functional Teams to drive successful implementation of seasonal campaigns in ALAC (Holiday & Back to School) - Provide input to US on creative + messaging for seasonal programs to insure local relevance and impact. - Advocate on behalf of ALAC business with WW MarCom to optimize processes, ensuring seasonal programs achieve maximum business impact. - Liaise with ALAC MarCom Functional leads to insure consistent implementation across disciplines.

Education

BS/BA required.

Additional Requirements

Travel to Cupertino and into the region will be required.
