Job Summary

The Camera Systems Engineering Group is responsible for the systems-level analysis, design and development of new camera features and technologies for performance enhancement. The team is seeking an exceptional systems engineer with broad skills to lead research projects.

Key Qualifications

  • Expertise in Matlab and familiarity with Python
  • Experience managing project schedules
  • Broad knowledge of engineering concepts (device behavior, data analysis, and systems modeling)
  • Familiarity with digital camera and optics technology
  • Familiarity with CMOS image sensors technology
  • Familiarity with analog and digital electronics
  • Great interpersonal skills - the ability to collaborate across groups
  • Self-motivated, able to lead projects independently

Description

Core Responsibilities: Duties include performing the systems-level analysis and modeling of imaging systems, and the design and construction of prototypes to guide systems development and assess user impact. Candidates should be highly skilled in several of these areas: Performing the systems-level analysis and modeling of imaging and camera test systems using Matlab Defining and documenting the systems architecture for prototypes and measurement systems Creating subsystem specifications and analyzing / characterizing electrical, optical, and optoelectronic components Designing and performing laboratory experiments, and documenting the results Using computer control (Matlab, LabView, VEE, etc.) to automate repetitive measurements. Developing signal processing algorithms and implementing algorithms in hardware Managing project deliverables and schedules to meet commitments to product development teams Discovering and tracking external technology development by suppliers, competitors and academicians

Education

BS/MS/PhD in a relevant field (EE, ME, CS or Physics)
