This role will focused on the monitoring of rotating equipment and performing performance tests at customer sites. It will ensure that the KPIs for the fleet under Remote Monitoring & Diagnostics [RM&D] are satisfactory in performance and RAM and fulfill the contractual requirements for performance tests. This role will be in touch with Customers, follow up on their inputs and feedback, pursue Reliability Improvement actions and propose relevant solutions.
In addition, you will:
  • Prepare test procedures defining activities to be carried out at site and related instrumentation
  • Prepare test instrumentation in collaboration with the Field Testing Laboratory
  • Supervise instrumentation installation at customer site
  • Lead testing activities
  • Prepare test reports by performing data analysis and diagnostics: identifying corrective/mitigation action (if needed), and listing specific recommendations
  • Process and analyze RM&D data, taking care of anomaly notifications, trip analyses and follow up with site
  • Prepare and release RM&D periodic reports
  • Use RM&D diagnostic tool providing support and feedback to the analytics development team
  • Organize and lead periodic review with customers
  • Guarantee close collaboration with Product Service and Product Engineering
  • Support the continuous development of new sensors, systems and analytics
  • Deliver quality technical analyses, propose improvements for diagnostics and calculations, and work in close cooperation with teams outside of HQ
  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering from an accredited College or University
  • Minimum 3 years industry related experienceEligibility Requirements:
  • Ability and willingness to work 5 days per week and one weekend (or holidays) in three on average according to rotational schedule
  • Ability and willingness to travel and work at site up to 80 days per year
  • Fluent in the English language

  • Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt qualification (GE Employees only)
  • Spanish fluency
  • Troubleshooting experience and familiar with Root Cause Analysis methodologies
  • Ability to work in a global environment
