Job Summary
The
Edge Services team is looking for an expert in system tuning. This
individual will continually seek ways improve the performance of the
delivery nodes from the physical layer to the application layer. A
strong background in kernel optimization, hardware/software tuning, and
driver level debugging.
Key Qualifications
- A genuine passion for operating system technology.
- Strong C programming/debugging skills a must. Knowledge of C++ basics a must.
- Practical experience with compilers, linkers, and source code management utilities.
- Experience with software debuggers (e.g. GDB) is a must. Knowledge of kernel debugging is a plus.
- Solid knowledge of Operating System networking stack, TCP and UDP.
- Strong ability to influence others and build consensus using good written and verbal communication skills.
Description
Work with a highly skilled engineering team in the design, implementation and support of kernel technologies.
Design, implement and support kernel API and functional test tools problem / performance analysis and debugging.
Work with cross functional teams to support developer and product requirements for embedded and desktop products.
Maintenance of existing kernel subsystems.
Provide support for internal distributions.
Education
MS in computer science or related field; 8+ years industry experience in lieu of degree.
