Key Qualifications

• Hands-on software engineering manager for the AOS Publishing Tools Engineering team
• A successful track-record as a software engineering manager.
• Domain knowledge in Content Management Systems (CMS) and Product Catalogs for eCommerce websites.
• Experience with launching very large-scale production internet websites.
• Working on a small, fast moving, highly skilled team.
• Proven track record of successful and timely product delivery and of driving technical innovation.
• History of setting aggressive yet attainable goals, and motivating teams to achieve them.
• A focus on product and technology strategy.
• Strong communication skills, both inward and outward.
• Collaborative personality who enjoys working with business stakeholders to understand needs and then propose solutions and design architectures that will scale with the business.

Education

* BS or or higher in Computer Science or equivalent work experience

Additional Requirements

Additional Requirements: Expertise with Java and web application frameworks. Experience with developing applications that utilize relational databases (e.g. Oracle) and other less structured data stores (NoSQL). Experience with building caching systems. Experience with Jruby, Cocoa, or MongoDB is preferred.
