Job Summary
Apple
is seeking an exceptional Sr. Systems Engineer to join a world-class
Information Security team. This is a highly technical, hands-on role in a
dynamic and fast paced environment. The candidate will need to have a
good mixture of deep technical know-how as well as a background in
information security concepts.
Key Qualifications
- A strong ability to multi-task and manage varying priorities.
- Experience with administrating a virtualized environment and file level storage - NetApp/VMware
- 5+ year experience in supporting and maintaining Network Infrastructure preferred.
- 6+ years experience working in an Enterprise environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and high attention to detail.
- Experienced with working log aggregation software and configuration management solution.
- Ability to effectively work across multiple groups within Apple.
- Proficiency in networking concepts such as setting up VLANs and basic routing/switching.
- Strong Knowledge of Unix Administration
- Proficiency in either Mac OS X, Linux or other flavors of UNIX
- Hands on experience securely configuring and maintaining Unix systems.
- Familiarity with datacenter operations is a plus.
- Familiarity with PCI is a plus.
- Experience with Oracle, JAVA, or Scripting Languages (PERL, Shell) and the development of a web application from the ground up is a plus.
Description
•Supporting
the global IT Security infrastructure.
•Knowledge of architecting Storage Infrastructure as well as Kickstarts
•Participating in project meetings and performing design reviews - from
high level application architecture to configuration of OS level
parameters to meet security goals.
•Supporting the eDiscovery application and tools used by the IT security
team.
•Configuring and maintaining monitoring solutions.
•Updating documentation and diagrams to match any changes to the
environments.
•Position includes on-call responsibilities.
•Understanding security fundamentals
•Understanding of Firewall, IDS, WAP technologies
Education
Position
prefers a BS in Computer Science or 4+ years of equivalent and 6+ yrs
of hands-on experience in large enterprise environments.
