Key Qualifications

  • Strong hands-on knowledge in Unix/Linux environment with 3+ years of experience
  • Superior analytical & troubleshooting skills
  • Expertise in large scale systems engineering
  • Expertise in scripting - Shell + Perl/Ruby/Python
  • Good understanding of HTTP and TCP/IP
  • Good understanding of Java is a major plus
  • Working knowledge of Mac OSX is a plus
  • Working knowledge of Oracle / SQL is a plus
  • Knowledge of configuration management tools such as svn & Puppet

Responsibilities: - monitor and maintain mission critical services - timely identification and prioritization of problems to minimize impact on customers - recommend solutions based on root cause analysis - interface with other site reliability engineers, software developers, systems administrators, storage and networking engineers - write efficient software and procedures to improve production operations - develop written procedures, engineering drawings, and other technical documentation
