Key Qualifications
- Possess excellent fixed and floating point programming skills in DSP implementation.
- Familiarity with 3GPP curves and frequency response measurements of telephony devices in chamber environments.
- Past experience with developing drivers for I2S, PCM, and other audio busses
- Debugging with Oscilloscopes related to audio bus issues.
- Fixed point MATLAB / C modeling experience
- Current understanding with state-of-the-art Vocoders, Jitter Buffers , and Audio Signal Processing techniques.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong cross functional skills related to project management and collaborating with larger teams is desired.
Description
As
a Sr. Baseband Audio Engineer in the iOS Telephony team, you will be
exposed to many different technologies.
Some of your daily duties would include:
Implementing state-of-the-art Audio Programming for the next generation
of Mobile Devices.
Implementing, porting and deploying AMR-WB, AMR-NB, CELP, EVRC-B, EVRC,
EVS Vocoders, and Jitter Buffers on Mobile devices.
Developing drivers for I2S, PCM, and other audio interfaces
Interacting with SW design teams, Network equipment vendors, Carriers,
and internal QA teams to analyze and solve technical issues
Education
MSc or Phd in Electrical, CS or other related field or equivalent is desired
Additional Requirements
Professional Experience: 3+ years of experience with Signal Processing and /or Human auditory systems is desired
