As a key member of the Power Conversion Legal
Team, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting Power
Conversion’s operations in North America.
In addition, in this role you will:
Providing
day to day legal and compliance advice to the operations of Power
Conversion’s business in North America for a range of business legal
issues, including legal support for complex commercial transactions and
for Power Conversion’s manufacturing sites (currently in Pittsburgh and
Peterborough)
Providing preliminary legal support to the business
regarding contract interpretation and guidance, particularly regarding
disputes or other issues that develop during contract execution
Working with counsel in Power Conversion and other GE businesses to develop best practices and strategic advice
Keeping abreast of legal developments in pertinent countries for the business
Training of the business teams on legal and compliance issues
Managing one counsel currently supporting Power Conversion’s operations in N America
Juris Doctor Degree
Minimum of 10 years of experience, with a minimum of 5 years at a law firmELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Ability and willingness to travel as required

legal problem solving and analytical skills and ability to understand,
articulate and persuade on significant legal and business issues,

meet demanding deadlines
Excellent communication and presentation skills; strong
ability to influence stakeholders and build trust with customers,
leaders and team members
