We are seeking an experienced and proven leader to drive highly visible technology programs in support of GE’s Global Operations – Finance Initiatives. In addition, the role will be a key liaison and strategic IT partner to the Global Operations Finance VP and Global Process Leaders responsible for the company’s transition to shared services for financial processes.
  • Partner with executive clients to understand and develop strategic solutions that drive fulfillment of business needs; engage in planning sessions; vendor negotiations and IT delivery
  • Drive the development of an overall technology roadmap and serve as the key IT liaison & expert in the areas Order to Cash
  • Implement global, world-class solutions, processes and systems for Global Operations – Finance across GE
  • Serves as solution delivery expert for the design and implementation of assigned application areas helping to align with global standards
  • Drives and is accountable for operational excellence of assigned program(s), with duties including program reviews, feasibility, cost benefit analysis, prioritization, initiation, execution and closure for all project work related to the program
  • Manages activities of project team resources to support and deliver solutions relating to the program(s)
  • Maintains effective working relationships with peers and vendors to seamlessly integrate the program area into the overall strategic objectives and activities of the organization
  • Coordinates program support activities, including the development of internal and external communications, establishing roadmaps and benchmarks, and developing training plans
  • Provide leadership and guide 3rd party vendors and consultants throughout the systems development lifecycle to ensure quality and conformance to defined IT system architecture, standards and practices
  • Partners with other business leaders and IT teams to help define strategic vision for application environment(s) that meet business needs
  • Utilize project management tools to track progress and recognize key risk areas for specific implementations
  • Basic Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Management or other technical or process related fields
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Information Technology, including demonstrated ability to lead a team and interface with client leadership
  • Minimum 8 years of proven experience with project management methodologies including minimum 3 years of hands-on experience planning and executing IT projects
  • Minimum 6 years of experience managing enterprise mission critical applications and leading on & off-shore development teams
  • Minimum 4 years of experience working on strategic projectsEligibility Requirements:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
